06.10.04 - 1:17am This is the last time I'll mention this spot, I promise.

We finally got the voiceover recorded, so I was able to finish the first two versions of the spot, which start airing here in KC on the 14th.

I made a few changes to it since the previous version (below), but I'm happy to say that it is finally done. I would have stopped messing with it a while ago if the process had moved a little more quickly, but it did give me something to work on for a while.

It also gave me a good opportunity to learn how to use a few plug-ins, namely Shine & Starglow from Trapcode.

In my next update, I promise to discuss other recent happenings, including my thoughts on Phish's breakup.

05.21.04 - 8:15pm The spot I previewed last time is now sort-of finished.

What you will see when clicking on the image at left is the finished spot, but where it seems the voiceover is missing is where weekly specials will be inserted. The video that is there now is merely a placeholder.

Anyway, I'm really happy with how it turned out. I made it using the Zaxwerks' 3D Invigorator After Effects 6.0 Pro plug-in with images created in Illustrator 10, and edited it on an Avid Media Composer Adrenaline. The music is from APM, the font family is Helvetica, and I'm wearing boxers.

05.18.04 - 12:37am Since it has been a while since I've updated, here's a quick look at what I've been working on lately.

I taught myself to use Zaxwerks' 3D Invigorator, and am building a new spot for a Kansas City Chevrolet dealer. Click on the image at left for a (low resolution) preview.

Zaxwerks makes some amazing software. I highly recommend it to anyone who works with video.
